We were quite apprehensive about "schooling" -- brainwashing. We felt each child was different. Education meant a lot more than academics. It had to prepare you for life. It had to address the body, mind, emotions and soul. It had to be in the lap of nature. It had to be in a situation where there is no fear. It had to inculcate the love of learning. Lakshmi started at Mirambika in 2008 when she was four years old. Here they believe that education for the adult and that the child is perfect.

Statue
Lakshmi's fascination with Shri Aurobindo's statue continues. Today they collected flowers in school and while handing it over to Ashma, Ujai's mom she told "This is for you because I love you so much. When you die I will make a statue of you".
